And in today's post, I'll address a nostalgic topic: toys from the 2000s. In a time when kids had toys, before smartphones exploded, Monday-to-Saturday morning commercials were dominated by ads for cars, dolls, spinning tops... and the new technological toys that were emerging; after all, it was the 2000s. In this era, the only cell phone a child would have was the plastic one with the song "Butterfly."

In addition to cell phones, there were also toy notebooks, V-Tech being one of the best known.

Before Pou, there was Tamagochi, the virtual pet that was created in 1996 but remained popular throughout the 2000s.

Those who didn't have the money to buy a console could count on the Brick Game, which had 9999 games in 1, although most of them were the same game made in different ways.

There was another game that tried to pass itself off as a video game, the "water game." It featured rings behind a plastic screen, which moved when buttons were pressed. Sometimes the goal was to fit these rings onto a bar.

In the 2000s, anime became increasingly popular, and with it came derivative toys, from Yu-gi-oh battle cards to complex Beyblades (more expensive tops).

And, of course, traditional toys were also present, including friction cars and Nino dolls from Cotiplás.

Toys are no longer, in most cases, the main gift for children. Many of them are born with smartphones in their hands, especially since the mid-2010s.
