Nostalgia: Icy Tower

Icy Tower is a simple PC game in which the protagonist has to climb the tower as quickly as possible. It was released in 2001 and was one of the biggest crazes of the 2000s. At one point, it even came pre-installed on Windows.

Every 100 floors the floor material changed, and could be stone, ice, wood, etc. The main objective of the players was to reach the end of the tower, which is impossible due to the fact that it is an infinite game.

0 - 99: Stone

100 - 199: Ice

200 - 299: Wood

300 - 399: Metal

400 - 499: Chewing gum

500 - 599: Bone

600 - 699: Vines

700 - 799: Pipe

800 - 899: Cloud

900 - 999: Rainbow

+1000: Glass

As for the characters, the classic version only had Harold, the Homeboy. From version 1.2 onwards two more were added: Disco Dave and Template. Wild Jane and Jungle Jane will debut in versions 1.5 and 1.5.1 respectively.

The game became especially popular between 2006 and 2008, to the point of receiving a port for mobile phones in 2008 (limited, but it exists) and for Facebook in 2009.

*What happened to it?

It received a sequel in 2012, Icy Tower 2, released for iOS and Android. Unfortunately, it was forgotten over time.
