Random topic of the day: PowerPoint presentations. Before today's WhatsApp good morning messages, people (read: internet aunts) in the 2000s, just discovering the digital world, also enjoyed sharing thoughtful messages with others. In a time without today's technology, the main way to do this was to send PowerPoint presentations through Hotmail.

These were automatic slides, with background music, images of flowers, and text that would appear and disappear. More elaborate than today's, by the way.

They weren't always emotional things, there were also more comical ones...

And the presentations always ended with the email address of the original PowerPoint creator. Towards the end of the decade, MySpace messages also began to appear, more similar to what we have today.

*What ended it?

In the 2010s, email was largely replaced by instant messaging in everyday use. The increased proliferation of this platform allowed the emergence and exhaustive repetition of certain "vices," such as annoying laughter and the use of AI.
